About the Artist
Aleksandr Mukhin
I was born in the mid-90s in Moscow, a vast and thriving
metropolis, feeling like a small person in a cap with a heap
of complexes. It's as if someone is constantly watching and
judging him. Living in this state is very uncomfortable, and
I've always tried to hide in creativity.
My works are similar to street photography, but through
the prism of personal perception. The prism is not in dis-
torted forms but in exaggeration. It all starts with a line. I
never know what the result will be. With a white sheet and
a pencil, I trace the pencil on the paper, and as soon as the
first image is captured, it begins to grow with new characters and a plot.
