ABOUT THE ARTWORK

The old growth rainforests of the Pacific Northwest are full of spirit, beauty and peace. I had the privilege of living among these forests for 20 years, though it truly was love at first sight. Even though less than 10% of these forests remain we have many staunch defenders to thank for their continued existence, both indigenous and settler. Perhaps in 900 years our ancestors can connect with us through the deep roots of these truly remarkable ecosystems. Because of the actions of dedicated environmental groups as well as the many admirers who walk amongst the ancients and support the cause, the seedlings of today will become the ancient wonders of tomorrow. Sending so much love and gratitude to each and every one of you that contribute to the important work of conservation! This piece is about the details of the forest, spending time seeking the precious vignettes of life and the incredible beauty even a few square inches can hold.

SHIPPING AND RETURNS
Delivery Time:

Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

I focus on landscapes, animals and plants as subjects, to express the deep inspiration and interconnectedness I feel from the natural world. Rather than simply viewing nature from an aesthetic perspective, I hope to connect my viewers with the intrinsic value and sentience in nature as well as the beautifully interconnected part we play in the web of life. Though our technology and culture can sometimes make us feel alienated from it, we are inextricably linked with the wild. My oil paintings employ the use of texture, layering, glazes and bold line to create nature-inspired works that dip into abstraction. My studio is located on my 50 acre regenerative farm and forest, Bard Owl Farm. I live here with my husband and two rescue dogs, Luna and Stella.
