Mountainside Print

Hiking in the mountains has left me with so many fleeting memories of the sky, the woods, the wildflowers, and the foliage that they have imbedded themselves in my mind. This painting in not representational but reflects the feelings invoked in me by the sight of everything around me. I hope the viewer will be inspired to go outside and see what there is to see. I used a palette knife both on the flat side and the tip for the speed of application, and acrylic paint so that I could paint many layers without waiting for oil paint to dry. The painting is wired for hanging, and sides are painted so there is no need for a frame unless the new owner desires. In that case I would suggest a floater frame so that the edges are visible, with a light or off-white wood.
