Gian Luigi Delpin is an italian painter, born in Tourin in 1962, lives and works in Asti. He works as a graphic designer for service companies and in the fashion industry. He began his activity as a painter in 1992. He collaborates extensively with paint manifactures in the luxury decoration sector as a creative consultant, working in sinergy with the laboratory technicians he acquires skills on the properties of the materials that he transfers to his painting by creating unique and personal technique, enhancing the materiality of the plaster he uses, creating bas-relief effects in compositions that work on thicknesses and contrasts ( matt / glossy, smooth / rough ). He builds the frames of the artworks by hand and mainly uses jute canvas as a support, treated is a very particular way. The art of Gian Luigi Delpin is inspired by his training as a graphic designer, by the language of visual comunication: trees, animals and oversized object are contaminated by pop and graphic suggestions, by the use of written as a symbol and form, in the creation of mental landscape that become almost abstract subject. My signature is Mac.
