About The Artwork
I live partly in a mediterranean surrounding and I walk through landscape with palms and many kinds of cactus. I love cactus, they have the most funny shapes and are always so expressive! I hope the viewer will feel the power of the cactus, they are strong, standing alone or in company. I hope these characters will bring a smile on her/his face and he can feel the humor and the strength in it. I worked in mixed media, with different materials, as there are besides the acrylic line work with tracing paper and crayons as well as deep scratches in the wood - the fine and the strong of the cactus reflecting. The work is covered with a thick layer of acrylic medium which gives it a shiny front that goes very nicely with the theme.
