When I first bought a guitar I designed it my own way To look like an African superstar A culture I had to display I had to make mine unique Just like the music I wanted to make something new not antique and inscriptions that were opaque These patterns have become part of me seen in my dressing and sometimes my skin In the future I could be a Grammy nominee With the kind of music I wish I could begin I joined the choir since I was six I was attached to music like an affix Sang with the elders and formed cliques Until I was good enough to play drums with sticks Nevertheless I am a king, yes I know. These challenges wouldn't put me below I may not be a president or a CEO but nevertheless I am a king, of course I know
