I was born in 1965 in Riga (Latvia). At that time, the Soviet Union was still here. The was suppression of personal freedom, everyone had to think just, as the government wanted. Only then will you be needed and honored. No other kind of thinking was allowed. Fortunately, it didn't affect me much, because I was a child at that time and my childhood was always sunny. It is always sunny when there are people around who loved you, no matter where in the world you live. My youth coincides with the collapse of the Soviet Union. And then I had to learn freedom. And I still have to learn it today. Because it's really not easy for the oppressed spirit. And one of the manifestations of freedom definitely is art. I became interested in art as a child, my favorites back then were Impressionists, and I still carry that love with me today. I studied in preparatory courses at the Latvian Academy of Arts, for many years I studied privately with Latvian-recognized and famous artists in their workshops (B. Celmiņš, A.Plaudis), I have a psychological education as well, and I am interested in both art and life. The inner world of people in life and in art.
As a mother of 3 children, I unfortunately did not have much time for art. But now they have grown up and I can finally return to my favorite pastime - painting.
