About The Artwork
I often dream colors in my sleep and I observe how they dance and move around each other in my head. One night I was imagining warm chocolate tones with blue colors, I have always loved these two colors together. So I woke up in the middle of the night and sketched this right away, it was so vivid in my mind that I had to put it down on paper. I chose Naomi Campbell as my muse here, as an independant woman with a fierce and beautiful confidence. Her fire heart is spicy, yet curious, represented by the fox. Her mind wanders in the stars, and at the same time her captivating presence draws you directly to her soul. I hope you like this painting as much as I enjoyed painting it, straight from a dream!

Julie Morin was born in Paris and raised on the French Riviera. She travelled a lot for her studies in Marketing, and fell in love with The Netherlands where she currently lives now. In 2015 she was diagnosed with Lyme disease and had to stop working, unable to walk without assistance. That's when she discovered her passion for painting, which quickly became an outlet and helped her tremendously to keep fighting against the disease. Today her oil paintings embody strong and powerful female figures portrayed in dreamy and fantastical surroundings, with a connection to nature that brings us closer to our roots and to healing. Julie also uses acrylic colors on her abstracts to showcase vibrant artworks with bright and flashy colors.
