Sunmyung Hann (Seonyoung Heo), an artist originally from South Korea and now based in Newfoundland, Canada, creates works profoundly influenced by her cultural heritage and deep connection to the unseen energies that shape our lives. Hann's art masterfully visualizes the spiritual dimensions often overlooked in daily life, drawing inspiration from both the natural world and the rich inner landscapes explored through dreams and meditation. With a BA in Craft Design from Keimyung University, South Korea, and having completed the Graphic Design Program at the College of the North Atlantic, Newfoundland, Hann brings a unique blend of Eastern and Western artistic sensibilities to her work. Through her art, Hann crafts "portals" that connect viewers with the invisible aspects of existence. Whether inspired by the powerful forces of nature in Newfoundland or the vivid imagery encountered in her meditative and dream states, her pieces serve as bridges between the visible and invisible realms. Hann's work invites audiences to transcend the everyday and experience profound insights and spiritual connections, offering a glimpse into the unseen tapestry that weaves through our reality.
