About The Artwork
Born, bred and raised in New York. Commuting by subway is not a choice, it's a necessity. I remember standing on a platform when the New Lots Local pulled in. The year was 1972. The faces express their boredom and fatigue of this daily experience. I never went anywhere without my camera and snapped varying subways pulling in and out of stations. A couple of years before the Grafitti epidemic hit the New York Subway system. The final result is a visual mashup of different people and an example of the Grafitti that "adorned" the trains.
