“A bird hatches out of a shell. And… The bird stores what it is necessary because of lightens herself so that she flies.” Keeping a necessity and discarding a unnecessity is not simple as much as being expected. I have stored good memories and inspiration to fly higher. On the contrary, I discarded every single bad memories. I am able to fly higher than ever and put myself in sublimation on these process. The parrot I have painted is well known as the bird which brings with love in traditional Korean painting. I hope I am happy to make a picture of the parrot that leads to love and the peony that fetches wealth and honor. In addition, I hope people are happier to have seen and collected my painting. As series of new floral and bird painting, I have followed a train of thought since 2013 that I hope art are straightforward to understand, to continue Korean tradition, and to be loved to the public.
