Gillian is a creative artist with a multidisciplinary practice, living in London, Ontario, Canada. Gillian studied art in her teens but was waylaid by life until refocusing on academics in her late twenties. She returned to University as a single parent with a young daughter and obtained an undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology, followed by a professional degree in Dentistry. In 2007, Gillian built a glass studio in her home and started making lampwork glass beads for jewellery designs. She has many repeat customers from all over the world, and as of this date has over 6400 sales in her Etsy shop. Gillian also knits, weaves, and sews, and has started a pottery studio adjacent to her glass studio. She enjoys designing and combining different modalities. Gillian had a wonderful 26 year career in Hospital Dentistry, with her practice limited to Dental Oncology. In March, 2020 the global pandemic refocused Gillian's priorities and she elected to retire from clinical practice to concentrate on family and art. Since retirement, Gillian has taken several courses to further develop her art skills, and is thoroughly enjoying being able to create on a full time basis. You can follow Gillian on IG at
