My art is the result of a long, deep search, a journey towards myself. It reflects both individual and universal experiences. Nature is a big source of inspiration for me. My painting tells of fragility and vulnerability. It is my way of translating my experiences and feelings – in shapes, colours, gestures and shades. The focus is on people and nature – and their relationship to each other. Layer by layer, I combine the abstract with the familiar, the figurative with the imaginary. My paintings convey a feeling that is difficult to grasp, yet familiar.
