ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Welcome to the Noise. A collection of pieces depicting the white noise of our new Digital Age. The noise has become incessant and increasingly loud, droning on all day and all night, it consists of information and ideas. Mostly the Noise wants nothing from us, it is simply there. Much does want something from us however - demands that you do as it says // that you think a certain way // that you love something // hate something. Noise #14 was a pleasant surprise in the sound waves.

NZ, but living in Amsterdam. I fell through 'The Gaps', and it happened quite early in life. I never found a way back to a grounded reality after leaving it, nor do I particularly want to. It feels unnatural to be something I'm not, I guess. So here I am, Gap Dweller. I left home at 17. Been working at bars since then, learning life from people who turned out to be functioning alcoholics. Etc When I was 16 I lived in Japan. I became fluent in Japanese and did calligraphy every day and you can see that influence now in my art. I make my own paint pens using dripper bottles and ciggy filters. I modify paint brushes to suit my needs. Etc
