ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This artwork is inspired by my lover, who posed for me in a stunning natural place called Parco delle Arti di Molineddu (in Sardinia). I shot a picture of her in a late afternoon in May and I particularly liked the big stains of light on her skin, as they reminded me of leopard spots. Indeed, the whole title of this work is: "Do not try to understand me, just love me -The Leopard Woman", like a statement signed by the woman herself. It has been shown in an exhibition in Molineddu, the same park where I shot the picture and I sold it to a couple who lives nearby.

Who is Max Mazzoli?» «A happy guy, with his dark sides, who doesn't regret his past» [Quotation by an interview from 2018] Here is the link to a powerful documentary dedicated to Max Mazzoli in 2021, by the director Gabriele Peru, called "Quello strano incontro con la signora in rosso. Max Mazzoli". English subtitles available: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8EPI0R68AbI&t=822s&ab_channel=Ass.CulturaleObiettivo31
