About The Artwork

Original artwork 30 x 24 inches 2019 Acrylic paint on deep edge canvas of 1.5 inches. Gallery wrapped canvas. Ready to hang. Certificate of Authenticity with signature on back of artwork. This art work is in a series called “Nostalgic Interlude”. This series of acrylic paintings represents fragments of memories through the integration of traditional Japanese patterns within pure abstract forms. Each painting evolves while it is being produced with no predetermined arrangement other than the base color. As layers of paint are applied, either using other colors or varying applications of paint, the pattern and background come together. The completed paintings are the result of combining the artists own memories with her mood when being produced. In some cases, a thicker, rougher stroke is applied, while at other times the colors and forms are more refined and subdued. The paintings do not directly show any particular event as they are intended to evoke the viewers’ own feelings of past experiences. Thank you very much for your interest in my artwork.
