ABOUT THE ARTWORK

NEW ORIGINAL. PAINTING COMPLETED 03.08.2022 This is a homoerotic painting of a nude male exposed in a sensual matter. The entire painting is made up of geometric shapes. The upper half background is entirely created using gold leaf and the bottom quarter in silver leaf. A truly beautiful combination! Jason has beautifully mastered an art movement called Geometric Abstraction. He has chosen this movement for his recent exhibition because of his love for balance in a composition as creating art with shapes is challenging yet the outcome so rewarding when constructed correctly. Jason wanted to prove to his audience that “irregular” geometric shapes, although harmoniously challenging, when formed correctly in an unconventional method can be magical. This painting is created using only shapes, lines and forms of all sizes, some regular and irregular to capture perfectly the human anatomy.

Jason Ebrahimi was born in London, England in 1981 and raised in Toronto. Jason has been selling artworks since 2001. He has held many exhibitions across Europe and Toronto, Canada and has been a commissioned artist for 15+ years. In addition to his Spontaneous Realism style of artworks, Jason has beautifully mastered an art movement called Geometric Abstraction. He has chosen this movement for his recent exhibition because of his love for balance in a composition as forming art with shapes is challenging yet the outcome so rewarding when constructed correctly. Jason wanted to prove to his audience that “irregular” geometric shapes, although harmoniously challenging, when formed correctly in an unconventional method can be magical. Jason’s series of artworks are created using only shapes, lines and forms of all sizes, some regular and irregular to capture perfectly the human anatomy. He chooses body postures from various angles for his compositions to cater to different tastes. Some artworks being erotic and others straight out provocative. Jason is daring with his approach in creating art and never limits his creativity which is why these geometric paintings are so fluid despite them being made entirely out of shapes. Geometric abstraction is a challenge art movement which requires years of practice to conquer and Jason does this beautifully.
