This painting in green, yellow and purple tones is inspired by a photo taken during one of my trips to France. The scene captivated me by the beauty of its light and also by the perspectives it imposed on the eye. I like the meeting of nature with urbanity. Here it is the large trees that dominate t...

After many years spent abroad, I now live in France in the Corrèze region. I am an artist passionate about drawing (particularly charcoal) and watercolor and every day I devote myself to my works. Humans, nature and the urban are themes that I often approach while trying to bring poetry to them. When I paint or draw a portrait, throughout the creative work, a complicity is established between me and the model, whether previously foreign or familiar to me. For me the creative process is a true encounter with oneself and the other. Also, I try to transmit as many emotions as possible through my works which are so many journeys and forays into life, color and light. Thanks to the subtlety of its pigments and their transparency, watercolor is a wonderful medium for restoring the textures and colors of living things in general and more specifically of humans. Charcoal is also a medium that I love because it allows me an extraordinary letting go, a freedom to play between shadows and lights.
