About The Artwork
This time I found myself painting in my favorite place. I got to use beautiful shades of blue, green, turquoise, and purple. I had many challenges this time because it was my first time painting at such a large scale. Painting sky gradients, color changes in different light, moving it, supporting it, stretching it. Even with all these challenges, it is by far my favorite painting. I'm glad I had the courage to try painting at this size. I feel like I've improved quite a bit. I grew up in Las Vegas, NV and loved mostly drawing and painting and I did really well in all of my classes. It came very easy to me. Then after college and all my schooling, I married my wonderful husband, Dan, and we had four beautiful and wonderful children. When our youngest was about 1, Dan encouraged me to take a realistic watercolor class and I was completely hooked. I loved it and found it totally resonated with me.
