ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Painting: Mixed media with oil and acrylic on canvas glued on hardboard. The work was done in a single copy. The night coast, huge waves that simultaneously cause delight and horror. I want to come closer, the wind moves the branches of palm trees, the air becomes thicker and thicker, every step is heavier, I understand that I am stuck in the picture. Rainbow overflows of water in the moonlight, another moment and everything will be covered with a huge wave, I understand that this is a dream.

My name is Kateryna Stryzhenko . Thank you for visiting my portfolio. In my art experiments I try to express things from the worlds of dreams and imagination. In the February of 2022 our reality here became most terrible then any possible bad dream, bad dream that has no way out, the war. My art experiments became for me something more than they were before, I found new senses and meanings in it. Art so helped me to survive and save my mental health being under nonstop heavy missile strikes and artillery shelling during 7 months. It was impossible to get materials for painting and I went digital. I found digital art rather interesting too. I was born in the small town near the Kharkov. I’m 36 years old I live in Kharkov. I’m vegan, In the past I worked in several theaters as a theater decorator.
