ABOUT THE ARTWORK

\Odem Forest- The painting began in 2018, I have maintained its freshness all these years. I promoted the painting in a gentle and meditative way. The painting is in oil paints, on a wooden frame. The painting is ready to hang. The paintings materialize based on the experience of drawing on canvas in plein air. The process continued later in my studio, where the painting went through a constructive paintbrush stage. It began with observations in nature, through the process of deconstruction and disassembly of the images, step by step. The painted landscape is severed from the original geographical setting and in this process of destruction and neutralization of the initial site, something different is formed. One can find a reference to the landscape - the horizon line, the sky and the earth - but the painting cannot be grasped and it remains open to interpretation. The viewer encounters a wide range of brush strokes and colors, dots and lines forming a lucid context. The painting stretches from right to left, up and down, inside and out, without any coherence, going through a universal experience of eternal existence, endlessness, life and death, tranquility and compassion - all of which rely on the reference to the landscape

Painter, born in 1969, married with two children, lives and works in Israel. A teacher in the Ministry of Education, he writes and teaches curricula for gifted and autistic students. Artistic Style: The artist creates large, vibrant canvases using dense, layered strokes to evoke light and mood. Titles often hint at the geographical inspiration behind the work. Creative Process: Starting with a place-based idea, the artist detaches from the original location during studio work, transforming it into something new through destruction and renewal. Viewer experience: Viewers can focus on the small details, see an abstract canvas, or step back to experience the overall harmony and tension. The artist's series of face paintings presents spectacular colors that disturb peaceful spaces. Exhibitions and collections: the artist exhibits in both public and private collections. Since 2006 he has been active on this site, and considers it an important basis for his development and a basis for his creative work.
