ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This artwork was inspired by a black and white photograph of a Friesian horse, where the horse moves through darkness with only a part of the body visible. The title "Odyssey" refers to a long journey that can be taken either literally, or, metaphorically. Literally, it can be seen as the horse on its way to somewhere; the exact destination left to the imagination of the observer. Metaphorically, it refers to our journey through life that can be a mix of the unexpected, uncertainty and excitement.
