Stan paints vibrant landscapes, cycling, running,kayaking, seascapes, outdoor sports, nature, and people. He is an outdoorsman and travels to find unique landscapes and subjects. He paints from photographs he has taken on the location. His paintings capture the light, colors, clouds, environment in nature. His oil on canvas paintings have bold, rich, vibrant impasto brush work. Stan also does art restoration of 18, 19, 20th century oil paintings. Stan is cyclist, triathlete, sea kayaker and photographer. Stan holds a BFA in Communication Arts and Design from Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, VA. He plays percussion in the 90 member Richmond Concert Band and plays 10 concerts each year throughout Virginia.
