Alexis Baranek grew up in historic St. Augustine, Florida where there were many inspirations, both from the scenery as well as other artists. She has lived in various areas of the country, which has provided more inspiration, and currently resides in beautiful Tennessee. Creating art has always been an important and necessary part of life for her, despite other things in life getting in the way. She works in acrylic, oil and mixed media and finds inspiration and energy in painting both realism and abstract works. She has been selling her work for over 30 years and her paintings are collections all over the United States as well as Canada and England. She is a member of The Tennessee Artists Association, Arts and Cultural Alliance of Knoxville, The Art Guild of Telico Village and The Association for the Visual Arts. She exhibits her work in various shows through these organizations as well as other venues and through her website.
