Once upon a forest Print

The catastrophes of nature are a vital process of change renewal. The cyclical nature of salmon and forest earth trees water and fire inspires me to create a symbolic painting. There are 24 paintings in the series. I consider this one of the masterpieces. The process of creating this work was arduous and fulfilling. The staining with acrylics and iron with the painted additions of fish forms (salmon) lend a realism of being there like no other manner of depiction. The surface is sumptuous and emotionally engaging. The series used the iron root forms as a basis for my emotive exploration of creating nature on canvas.
