I live and work in Slovenia. Following the tradition of renowned local painters, I explore my inner self in relation to the surrounding landscape. I studied painting on the Academy of fine arts and design in Ljubljana, where I focused on line and gesture. For my bachelor´s work I combined Japanese calligraphy and American action painting into a style I named »Formalized gesture«. I further developed that style into minimalism that became my MFA work. In recent years I started exploring how to condense my life experiences into my landscapes, which have now become playgrounds for various organic shapes.
