One reason or another Print

I painted this piece while standing on the beach in Rhossili Bay, It was a wet and windy summers day, I had to peg my canvas into the sand at times to avoid loosing it to the wind. I had a lot of fun throwing paint around in the initial stages of the painting, using lots of thinners to help depict the damp weather conditions, the sun did burn through at times which was quite magical. I returned a few days later when the paint was dry enough to work over and I could stand the work on my easel, just really adding some finishing touches. This piece is very personal to me because every time I look at it, it is like reading a diary I can remember exactly how I felt on that day - Free. This piece was hung at the Mall galleries, Royal society of Marine artists exhibition 2017
