This orchid watercolour illustration was created as part of my studies for a Diploma in Botanical illustration from The Royal Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh where I studied plants and botany from 2019 - 2022. I graduated with a diploma in botanical illustration in 2022. It was drawn from an original plant and photograph of it, to create realism of the flower. It has a natural serene quality fitting for a home interior and would look lovely in most rooms to look pleasing and natural. The watercolour medium was chosen to show tone and softness of the petals and glossy leaves. It is supplied as a high quality Art Print on natural white 310gsm paper with soft textured surface.

Drawing and Painting is at the very core of her work and her interest in floral drawing for print led her to engage on the Diploma for Botanical Illustration at The Royal Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh in 2019 where she fell in love with the traditions of Botany and Botanical Illustration. Adrienne has been exploring bold new work this year which combines Adrienne’s love of botanicals, pattern, bold colours and a fusion of acrylic painting and collage on canvas and paper.
