I was born in 1980 on an island in Northern Vermont, coming for a family of proffesional artists. I received training in architecture and design at University of Wisconsin Madison BS 2001. While continuing my art training at several art residency programs throughout the USA; Art Residency 2001 Summer San Francisco University, Madison WI proffesional artist program and education 2004, West Palm Beach Army Center 2011, South Beach FL residency program 2014. I'm influenced by architecture, interested in light, form and color. I use of geometry and forms comes from the fact, that I always wanted to be an architect, but never pursued this dream. It reflects structured side of me. Modern Impressionism comes natural for me - coming for a line of landscape painters. Coming from northern Vermont where summers are short and often rainy I was always inspired by bright sunlight of the country sides. I try to capture that bright light in my paintings, therefore I have begun to produce painting on black canvas to create an illumination effect in my work.
