ABOUT THE ARTWORK
One of my personal favourites; this small painting of the breakwaters or “paalhoofden” as it is locally known. This is an well known sight for people here living at the beach. At these breakwaters all of the beautiful colours of both the sun, the sea, and the beach all come together. I chose to do this painting with oil paints on canvas stretched over cardboard. With this combination all these beautiful colours can be blended to create this strong image. The painting is finished off with an protective coat of varnish, keeping the painting safe for a very long time. It also helps bringing out the colours and brushstrokes even more. The painting is shipped without an decorative frame, so you can choose one to your liking and personal style. Or you can hang it as it is without one. If you ever wanted to have a hand made, oil painting, hanging in your own room, this is your chance to get one.
