ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This artwork was created to celebrate National Panda Day which falls in March each year. The holiday was established to draw attention to these unique bears, which are one of the world’s most threatened animals. Using origami I created a small family unit of pandas to place in a stand of bamboo made from rolled paper with origami leaves. Handmade Thai mango paper is used for the background. The work has a dark green mat and is in a sturdy black metal frame. A Certificate of authenticity is included.
