ABOUT THE ARTWORK

The "Paradise" series was created in response to the urgent issue of insect decline and its severe impact. Through my art, I aim to draw attention to our ecological crisis. Regional plants like thistle, poppy, dandelion, and wild carrot, which rely on pollinating insects, are struggling to reproduce, further diminishing the insects' food sources. This loss of species is partly due to the excessive use of herbicides and pesticides. "Paradise" is a call to action: A global ecological recovery can only advance if we support the diversity of native wild and cultivated plants at the regional level. Exhibition “Gambling? - Roulette with the insect and plant world” from July 18 to October 6, 2024, the Palmengarten Botanischer Garten Frankfurt am Main Siesmayerstr. 72 60323 Frankfurt
