I’m Ajit, a self-taught artist from Pune, India. A marine engineer by profession, I decided to take a break from work during the pandemic. The pause allowed me to self reflect and focus on my mental well being. Painting till now had merely been a form of relaxation. As I delved deeper within myself , I realised that I had to pursue my joy rather than societal expectations. Art soon transformed from a hobby to life path which will allow me to express my emptions and vulnerabilities. Painting has since become a constant companion in my journey of healing and self discovery. It has helped me to deal with the weariness and apathy that I feel towards the world. Through my art I love to explore the myriad complexities of human emotions and representing them in my own unique way. Being a movie buff and comic nerd, I love the idea of my paintings telling a story. The style of each painting is governed by its subject as I do not believe in limits to expression. As a still growing n learning artist, I keep trying to find more innovative ways to express ideas through my art.
