Scene from Greek seascapes. I live by the sea, so I can't help myself being mesmerized by the beauty of the bright blue sky and deep blue sea. Each day seems like I can see a different tone of cool colours. And sea is like having a mood. Some days singing, some resting, dancing, fighting, getting fu...

My artistic practice explores the intersection of abstract realism, symbolism, and psychological narrative. Through portraits and figurative works, I aim to reveal the inner landscapes of human experience — spaces where emotion, memory, and perception intertwine. I often employ ambiguity as a visual language, allowing forms to shift between the tangible and the immaterial, inviting viewers to interpret their own reflections within the work. Having studied fashion design, pedagogy, sociology, and Byzantine iconography, I draw on a wide range of influences that inform both the aesthetic and conceptual dimensions of my art. These diverse backgrounds shape a visual vocabulary that balances structure with spontaneity, intuition with research. My palette often reflects the emotional undertones of my subjects rather than their literal appearance, creating chromatic atmospheres that evoke intimacy, fragility, or introspection. Ultimately, painting for me is both a process of self-discovery and a means of dialogue — a way to transform private emotions into shared, universal narratives. Ageliki was born in Palaiokastro, Serres, and grew up in Thessaloniki, Greece. She initially studied Fashion Design, later pursued Pedagogy at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and Sociology at the University of the Aegean. In 2011 she began painting as a self-taught artist before completing further studies in fine art and seminars on Symbolism and the relationship between art and perception. Over the past decade, she has lived and worked in Preveza, exhibiting her work in both solo and group shows in Greece and abroad. Her paintings have been presented in Florence, Rome, Naples, Budapest, and Milan. Working primarily in abstract realism, her art combines symbolism, psychological depth, and an introspective chromatic language that speaks to the complexity of human experience.
