ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I walk in Overpeck Park just about every day. I see these weeds with millions of colors against the sky in summer. I hope to convey the beauty of these phragmites ( which some see as invasive) and their reflections in the creek. I used a palette knife to create many layers and suggest the depth. The painting is on heavy watercolor paper (400lb Arches) and is ready for framing. I would suggest a 4inch linen mat and a simple gold frame. I would be happy to arrange this with a framer if the buyer prefers.
