This is always the fun part, trying to describe the painting and explain the influence about why I painted it, If you have read any of my other descriptions you will understand a little of my unusual character. I am an old fella that just plays with paint !!!!! So I wanted a painting with these colours and to give it a bit of bling to high light this unusually low contrasting painting. I just like these colours, O K ! My studio is my garage. And my loving wife is always popping in and out of the garage while I am painting........... So my beloved walked past as I was finishing this painting and said " GEE I HAD A PICNIC TABLE CLOTH LIKE THAT" hence the name "Picnic Lunch". Don't blame me for my lack of some highfaluting artistically influenced description. I am old O K. The painting is 91cm wide and 122 cm high and 4 cm deep, it weighs 2.5 Kgs. This painting looks just as good vertical or horizontal . I will wire it horizontally if you ask me to. It is finished in a subtle satin varnish that enhances the colour and protect the paint. On the back is a signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity. It is wired ready to hang and has felt cushions to protect your walls. The edges are fully painted so there is no real need for an external frame. This painting will be shipped in a crate.

The assortment of bases gives Patrick’s work depth, while the bulk and shadow lines bolster the pieces character. As Patrick’s work is evolutionary his latest style remains contemporary abstract. He uses various mediums and acrylics in fluid states to produce a mixture of abstract colours and shapes. Most of Patrick’s inspiration comes from the everyday world around him. He enjoys the challenge of mastering different techniques. Patrick has had many exhibitions, either solo or combined with other artists. He has won acclaim and awards for his abstract imagination.
