Pink studies and its shades Print

This project arose as a small analysis of my use of pink in my work, which has been questioned for more than a decade. Why my use of that palette? While a lot of my color inspiration comes from my childhood, specifically talking about trips to small towns all around Mexico and the colorful birds I grew up with. There is always a relatively negative connotation about the use of pink and more so being a woman. How to change the meaning of cheesy pink, barbie pink, fragile pink to other connotations? What does it take to turn Mexican pink, magenta, and their shades into something aggressive, violent, or masculine? Continuing with my questions about the feminine and beauty plus the use of the fragmented and the digital glitch to explore through the brand, the color, and the composition the use of pink and its possibilities of expression.
