ABOUT THE ARTWORK

My love of baseball and the absence thereof during this coronavirus season inspired me to make this piece. I wanted to blend together Kevin Costner's Field of Dreams with my favorite team- The Pittsburgh Pirates. This is a print based off the original painting I made on the 16X20 stretched canvas. Usually this is my favorite time of year with baseball season right around the corner. Unfortunately that’s on hold for the time being. I love baseball because it reminds me of all that is great in our country and world. Baseball has a way of unifying people from all different background and cultures. Like the magic of baseball, I believe we can make it through these challenging and uncertain times by coming together. They say hope rings eternal, and like America’s great pastime, I have hope that America and the rest of the world will be greater than ever before.
