ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Placide was created during a year of total life change, where despite the context I was able to find serenity. The depth of the colors as well as the gilding give it a depth and a particular capacity of evolution. The painting is varnished with a glossy effect which highlights the several used medium and the contrast. The gilding allows my artworks to evolve during the day depending on the light. Allowing several visions and aspects, my goal is also for the collectors to process their interpretation and appropriation of the painting until it fully feels like theirs. My paintings are to be transmitted, but the emotions are to be exorcised and transformed as the owners will make one with the art.
