ABOUT THE ARTWORK
A pond by its very nature calls out for exploration. What's under that lily pad? Wait, is that alive!? So painting ponds is no different. This series will probably always be ongoing, as I always seem to find interest in a new way I can see the light hit the water or exploring the spaces unseen from the surface. This piece is on the simpler side as it gets a feel for its space and boundaries. It seems like something a housemaid, soon to turn princess, would sit next to on a sunny day. Maybe even having a conversation with the fish. Who knows. This series is no different in its eclectic use of mediums to capture the desired elements. This particular piece was created on BFK Printmaking paper.
