Born in 1979 Lives and works in Istanbul Gökşen Parlatan is a visual artist based in Istanbul, Turkey. She works in a variety of mediums, including painting, drawing, and sculpture, to explore themes of identity, memory, and the human experience. Her work is often characterized by its bold colors, expressive brushstrokes, and figurative imagery. In her artist statement, Parlatan writes: "My work is about exploring the human condition and the complex ways in which we experience the world around us.
