Primitivism My current exhibition, “primitivism” is a mixed media paintings, Often focus on Symbols of Ancient Civilizations and Egyptian Folklore, visual signs, organized in the new conceptual constructions, to conjure up history, and giving space to those forms the invisible, or to detect the power of language through history. I find myself constantly returning to those aspects that are often hidden or unclear in interpretations of the history of primitive man or Egyptian folk culture. Contemporary responses to Primitivism, which I practice in my work, are an attempt to explore and re-conceptualize the contemporary Egyptian heritage. Primitive art not only provided new aesthetic forms, it also offered a deeper and more complex emotional and spiritual model with nostalgia. Primitivism sought connections to a pre-industrialized past in which people were more connected with nature and each other. My paintings takes on various forms designed to create new unexpected forms of aesthetic ideas, and I try to expressive by visual language, providing an experimental opportunity to challenge the concepts, views and assumptions of artistic traditions . During the artistic practice and thinking new interesting areas arise and lead to the next painting work .when layers are drawn and deleted or scraped parts on the surface of the painting, they leave an impression in a way that history does the same. During the artistic practice and thinking, new interesting areas arise and lead to the next painting work. Emad Abouzaid
