Fascinated by history, place, architecture and archaeology. He worked for the BBC, and in the satellite TV industry, as well as spells as freelance graphic designer, archaeologist and cheese maker. Began painting at the age of 14, influenced by advertising, pop art, the photographic record, science fiction literature, and the rock band Hawkwind. He was self taught, until a part time art course in 2000. Very ecclectic and wide ranging inspirations and practice.
