ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting was inspired by my love of nature. The depth of landscapes is always a draw for many of us. It brings us close to nature in our living space. I like monochrome painting or duo-chrome in this case. I used the complementary colours of purple and yellow. The yellow, was used for the sunlight breaking through from the background sky. I hope this picture encaptures your imagination. I like to give my paintings a loose, almost impressionist feel. I painted this in acrylics, but used a watercolour technique which acrylics allow for. This enabled me to create a more dreamy look to the painting.
