ABOUT THE ARTWORK
We often take onions for granted. We chop them up, shed a few tears, and eat them. They smell and taste wonderful, and they are highly nutritious, but are they really a suitable subject for a still life, fine art painting? In my opinion, absolutely yes! I especially like painting the red, purple, violet ones. A simple shape, a complex structure, and so much depth of color. This pair are painted in professional oil paint on a canvas board. The painting measures 12X9 inches and it will need to be framed for hanging on a wall. It is signed on the front, and signed and dated on the back. I hope you like it!
