About The Artwork

Bitten and left food on the table is a very typical scene in my kitchen. So its look like an ordinary day, but It was the 12 of March when this Buckwheat, toilet paper and alcohol panic has begun in Europe and we have seen empty store shelves on FB news feed. This COVId19 panic launched along with beautiful Springtime and the first blue snowdrops has bloomed. This series of artwork focus on the reality of social distancing, home quarantine and COVID19 panic. Everybody was locked in their houses. "In my case, everything moved to the kitchen table during the quarantine. It became especially important place for the family. At the dining table we have solved different problems, clarified personal relationships and plans for the future. My dining table has become the child's playground, my husband's office and, of course, the family's dining table at the same time. Everything cycled around the table. I repeatedly asked myself - where is my place as an artist in this house? ”

I use a mix of techniques to create my paintings. I am interested in the aesthetics of hidden, undiscovered and often invisible matters. I consider/examine personal experience, feelings and involvement in the context of historical and social events in order to find opportunities for transformation and adaptation to new living conditions. I engage with social subjects such as power, stateless status, migrations, integration, assimilation, consumption, female issues and also rituals, traditions and the ghosts of the past, inhabiting and hacking our current state of affairs.
