This still life oil painting on wood (40 x 60 cm) was inspired by an old bookshelf in Florence, Italy. This is a lovely collection of textures and old familiar objects.... all "ruled" by a funky plaster cast of a queen with very curly hair A cluster of grapes adorns her hair, so perhaps she is ruling over the fall harvest as well.
