Isabel Dugenest Assiego is an artist dedicated to blending the realms of Art History, anthropology, and ancient mythology. Her first project in Sumatra focuses on unifying diverse cultures using techniques from the Hindu Srivijaya Kingdom, augmented by inspiration from European art. Based in Bali and Barcelona, Isabel emphasizes the importance of collective art to safeguard traditions that reflect the multifaceted heritage of Sumatra, including influences from Japanese, colonial European, Hindu, Muslim, and Buddhist cultures. Her artistic practice honors the divine essence of humanity while transforming historical stories into contemporary narratives of resilience and inspiration. Isabel's work has been recognized and supported by the Sumatran government and the Sumatran University of Arts, giving the art pieces a value for the future.
