I am an abstract artist based in West Berkshire, United Kingdom and have been creating my artwork for many years using acrylic paint on canvas. The majority of my creations are bold, bright and colourful with intricate details at close viewing, yet display graphic and dynamic movement when observed at a distance. At the same time, some of my artwork is subtle and calm. My scientific background brings specific knowledge to my artwork process with acutely exacting and detailed methods. My paints and pouring media are carefully blended; considering the density, opacity and transparency of each paint is a crucial part of the procedure. I weigh and measure all the components individually to ensure each painting is a truly unique creation which cannot be replicated. I start each piece with this approach and apply myself to the creation of either dynamic, fluid, abstract art or a more traditional method of paint manipulation. All my art is lovingly created with deep feelings and emotions which put me into an almost transcendental state as I work seamlessly from start to finish on each piece as my work gains in form and structure on the canvas beneath my hands. I draw upon artists such as Jackson Pollock, Jonas Gerard and Gerhard Richter for inspiration. My paintings suit any room in both residential and commercial environments and have been sold to private collectors both nationally and internationally.
