Since childhood, I've been intrigued and fascinated by the wonders of nature as well as the starry night sky. Often times, I found myself gazing upon their mesmerizing glitter and beauty. Imagination was the only way of understanding the vastness of things above and around me. Still, the way I saw the world within came to light beyond reality. My attempts to recreate the inner visions using color pencils, crayons, and pastel were often applauded by teachers and peers; however, I felt limited as to how much could be expressed with these mediums. At age thirteen, I picked up the brush, blank canvases became windows to emotion, vivid colors and the conscious beauty I experience. The works of my late father, a school teacher and artist, also aspired my journey in art. Large scale murals at Orange County Public Schools has been my way of inspiring the young. Teach in art lessons with students has also been a true delight. Contributing to marine life conservation efforts with art has now become part of my passion.
